Chickens and dogs and gorgeous girls

I spent Sunday evening photographing the gorgeous Mariko and Sarah-Jayne. They are both such beautiful girls and I had a lot of fun with them.

My talented brother

Finally has his own website! He has been gigging and playing music for years with it being his main source of income for quite some time now.

We heard a song that he recorded in his spare room the other night that sounded so pretty.

Awesome website with some pretty good pictures if I do say so myself. Have a look and a listen!

Jump high

My mum came home from Canada on Wednesday. I took Thursday off work and we had a nice day hanging out, op-shopping and eating.

I sat and did some paper-cuttings while Mum and Don organised their new lives back home.

All available at Suitcase Rummage Sunday 5th December 12-5pm @ King George Square.

Getting ready to rummage

I'm so grateful for my friends. I have some freaking awesome people in my life. So I've started doing some pieces inspired by them.

Maybe they will remind you of your best friends and how fucking fabulous they are.

All pieces will be available at Suitcase Rummage Sunday 5th December at King George Square. Don't forget Christmas is coming!

Painting with light

I spent all day yesterday at a photography course run by Take Better Photos. I've done a shorter course with them before and yesterday was the 9 & 1/2 hour advanced digital SLR course which was amazing. I've had a bit of a tough week in not feeling too crash hot so I did struggle towards the end. I left at 7.30pm and it hadn't quite finished yet but there was no more my brain could take.

I learnt a lot and I really hope that it all stays gelled in my brain. I would definitely recommend the course, Dean is a great teacher and explains things so well. It also comes with a guide that is tailor made for your camera so you don't need to read the manual and learn all the tricky things yourself!

My favourite part of the day was the painting with light we did as soon as it got dark enough. I don't think I'll ever get sick of this. So much fun!

Available soon

I am working on paper-cuttings and cards for the December 5th Suitcase Rummage at King George Square.
There will be several new works available including lots of new cards.
The following pictures will all feature along with lots of Christmas cards!

Can't wait for the last rummage before Christmas. My mum will be selling along with me, come and say hi!

He asked "Why do you dance?" She replied "Why do you live?" 'Because I must." "Well, that's my answer too."

I was in ballet class last night concentrating on plies and battement frappe's when I started composing photographs in my mind. I dance at Mad Dance House in the city and there are some amazing dancers. One boy in my class did the most stunning jumps. I could have watched him all night.
I would love to do a dance series. I may need to enlist some old friends to pose for me.

In the meantime I'm scouring We heart it for ballet pictures.

Best Rummage Ever

November rummage was on today and for this month only it was held at the top of the mall in between the Casino and the library. It was a brilliant spot, apart from no cover and the threat of rain early in the day but that cleared up and from then on it was a great day. There was a lot more space and it gave people more chance to look at what was on sale.

Laura's beautiful goodies on sales.
Sarah did really well with lots of clothes, shoes and handbags.

I took my cards for the first time and did really well. I was so happy with the reception and the feedback I got. I came home so excited to a very proud boyfriend!

I sold five paper-cuttings and got another commission which I will fulfill this week. I am bursting with ideas and can't wait to get working on some pieces for December.

A lady with gorgeous bunting sitting opposite us. It was so nice watching the shadows as the day got longer.

Sarah, Laura and I had visitors all day. It's fun having different people drop in throughout the day.

Clearly smoozing a customer.

Hi Miss Morgan!

My absolute favourite part of rummage is talking to all the amazing people. Brisbane is a cool town full of inspiring people.
